Imagine if Janis Joplin and John Lee Hooker had a baby together; musically, this girl would be the offspring of that union. Genevieve is an extraordinary performer who exudes raw energy by the bucket load with songs that speak of the complexity of human experience and her passion for life. With her original brand of Blues and Roots has the power to enthral an audience with her passionate songs full of rich melodies, sung with a voice that’s amazingly gravel-like and smooth all at once. Campbell defies easy categorization. He’s a slide guitarist, a songwriter, banjo player, blues singer, busker, and more. The sort of performer found in New Orleans blues joints.

Campbell’s strongest musical influences were blues-rock musicians from America and the U.K. – and his own household.

“My father was a big influence,” he says. “But so were Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, The Band, and the Rolling Stones. I always liked the way The Band brought variety and diversity to their sound. So my sound has bits of country, soul, Celtic, and rock. I love the variations.”

Drawing on a great wellspring of music from the 50’s they balance tradition and innovation to produce a sound that is retro on rocket fuel!

The recipe is refreshingly straight forward with no bells, mirrors or computers – just four musicians who are passionate students of this era and deliver with enthusiasm.

Lead vocals in the style of early Elvis, with moves to match, Big Double Bass slapped within an inch of it’s life, sizzling Gretsch guitar in the style of the Stray Cats and real drums played with perfect dance tempos.
